Maji Market Treasure Chests
The monthly Maji Market hides treasure chests around the Fairgrounds. Each one gives you Maji Market Tickets and a Maji Treasure Chest decor item, and a few add a market snack. Two are on rooftops, so bring your Glider.
Written for patch 0.207. Things can change after a game update, so check anything important in Palia.
What the Maji Market is
The Maji Market is a recurring night market held at the Fairgrounds, which you reach from the southeast corner of Kilima Valley. It has food stalls, minigames, stamp cards and a fireworks show.
When it runs
Since patch 0.184 the market comes back every four weeks. Other events, such as Luna New Year, can push the schedule around, so check the event page in your player menu for the current dates and time left.
When a market starts, Kenli stops by your plot to invite you. You can visit the Fairgrounds at any hour to hang out or fish, but the festivities run from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Palia time.
How the chests work
Hidden Rewards is one of the market's activities. The chests are tucked behind stalls, on rooftops and along the shore. Find one, open it, and the loot goes straight to you along with the empty chest.
Your market progress and accomplishments carry over from one month to the next, so you can finish your hunt the next time the market is back.

Luna New Year chests
Luna New Year also takes over the Fairgrounds and has its own six hidden chests. They pay out Lucky Envelopes instead of Maji Market Tickets, and each one also gives a Maji Treasure Chest.
At Luna New Year 2026, two small chests gave 100 Lucky Envelopes each, two medium chests gave 150, and two large chests gave 250 plus a snack: Reth's Ice Cream Mochi from one and Delaila's Hopia from the other.
Patch 0.200 moved these chests to new spots, and this guide does not list their locations yet.

- Bring the Glider for the stable roof and the gazebo roof.
- The gazebo chest is a climb: up the hill behind the drum pavilion, then up the cliff behind the gazebo, then hop over.
- Grab the shore chest south of the drum pavilion on your way to the fireworks.
- Missed a market? Your progress carries over, so pick up where you left off next time.
